In 2021 we started running an EcoClub Scheme for local children. The clubs are for primary-age children, and run as an after-school club and also some dates in school holidays. So far, we have held the clubs in Emsworth, Sarisbury Green Southampton and Bracklesham Bay.

The clubs have a different theme each week – one week it may be plastics in the oceans, the next week climate change, the following week perhaps backyard beasties or reducing waste and composting. They are all about inspiring a love of nature, wildlife and learning how we can help protect our planet. The clubs have proved to be incredibly popular – you can see a little bit more about them here.

*This video was made by a marketing agency (Krow) for the Aviva Community Fund, who kindly gave us a small pot of funding to help us start the clubs up, and then used the project as a case study for to highlight the community fund’s environmental projects.
