Funding from Foundations & Trusts

The National Lottery Community Fund

In 2021 we secured a five-year funding grant from the National Lottery Community Fund. We are thrilled that this grant, for core funds, will help us to continue our work with more surety for the next few years. Thank you to all the National Lottery players, we will make sure we pull out all the stops to try to help protect our local coastline from plastic pollution!

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation

In 2023, we were lucky enough to secure funding from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF) to help fund our series of Youth Eco-Conferences.

  • The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation is an independent charitable trust established to inspire local giving for local need. The Community Foundation works both with donors who want to give something back to their local communities and voluntary groups providing vital services for local people. Companies, individuals, families and trusts can establish a fund with the Foundation, which supports a growing programme of grant-making to communities. HIWCF is part of a national network of 46 Community Foundations, one of the fastest-growing philanthropic movements in the UK.

Aspen Insurance

We are grateful to Aspen Insurance for helping to fund the charity again this year. Implementing environmentally focused best practices – both in their communities and the workplace – is at the core of their green agenda. The Aspen Green Team leads their efforts in this area to ensure that their work environments offer the best facilities and opportunities for environmental protection.

The Naturesave Trust

In 2023, we are pleased that our Borrow Bag scheme has been supported by the Naturesave Trust, which is funded by the activities of Naturesave Insurance, the UK’s leading ethical insurance provider for individuals, businesses, charities and community groups.
