The National Lottery Community Fund

In 2021 we secured a five-year funding grant from the National Lottery Community Fund. We are thrilled that this grant, for core funds, will help us to continue our work with more surety for the next few years. Thank you to all the National Lottery players, we will make sure we pull out all the stops to try to help protect our local coastline from plastic pollution!

Ambers Fund

We are so grateful to Ambers Fund for helping to fund our schools outreach programme. The funding that we receive from the Fund helps to employ our Educational Outreach Officer, who visits schools and community events and helps to raise awareness of the issues surrounding plastic pollution and how we can try to combat it.

11th Hour Racing

11th Hour Racing works with the sailing community and maritime industries to advance solutions and practices that protect and restore the health of our ocean. Inspired by and furthering the mission of The Schmidt Family Foundation, 11th Hour Racing embraces partners, grantees, and ambassadors who integrate sustainability into their values and operations while educating, innovating and inspiring people with the critical message of ocean stewardship.

We are thrilled to be a grantee this year, enabling us to continue working with businesses and events along the south coast to reduce the amount of single-use plastic used in the area, and allowing us to expand our community and schools outreach programme.

People’s Postcode Lottery

We are thrilled that in 2021 we have had support from the People’s Postcode Lottery and the Postcode Society Trust! A huge thank you to players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their support of the Final Straw Foundation.

People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which raises money for charities, over 9,000 charities to date! Not only do players win cash prizes, but good causes also receive essential support. Players sign up with their postcode and pay £10 per month. They are automatically entered into every draw and prizes are announced every day of the month. 32% of the ticket price goes to charities. Emsworth Business Association

Emsworth Business Association have supported the Final Straw Foundation since day one, when we started out as the Final Straw Emsworth, and we are incredibly grateful to them. Their unwavering support helped us to sign up our first businesses to the campaign, and they have continued to cheer us on as we have grown! They supported the Final Straw Solent at the 2018 Black Tie Ball and helped to raise some valuable funds for the campaign. Huge thanks to them for all their effort and continued support.
